The Board having assembled pursuant to order,
proceed to examine the above-named officer and find that he
is at present suffering from delirium tremens which developed
subsequently to his admission to hospital on the 9th. November.
He complained of diarrhoea on admission, but on the afternoon
of the 10th. Hovember he became the subject of delusions as
for example, he stated that some one had visited him in the
ward and asked him to have a game of billiards, which was
untrue.
Further, he stated to the Board to-day that he is
J
in Pekin now, having arrived yesterday by the Siberian route.
The Board are of opinion that his present
condition of health le due to alcoholism.
